The austere medieval School Yard lies at its heart, surrounded by smaller courtyards and cloisters, and flanked by the soaring Gothic Chapel. The tour also visits the Museum of Eton Life, home to over 400 exhibits including 19th century birches and a ‘swishing block’. Ouch.
