We defy you to leave this fabulous shop empty-handed! It combines a prime selection of British rural crafts with design from the best contemporary European manufacturers, so you'll find just about every kitchen utensil you could wish for, gorgeous top-range tableware, some of it made locally, plus cool Swedish glassware, German stainless steel kettles and of course iconic Mellor cutlery. More affordable items include basketware, woodware, jams and honey. The shop is beautifully laid-out, airy and spacious, and the staff are helpful without being pushy. Pop next door to the cool café to recover, before taking the excellent Design Museum.
