Dittisham Village
Dartmouth Devon
Nestled on the banks of the river among rolling green hills and wooded valleys, Dittisham is the most picturesque of the Dart Estuary’s villages. Its main attraction is undoubtedly the water, so come by boat if at all possible – not only for the best views but also because you’ll spend hours navigating the narrow lanes if you attempt it by car. Many people sail their own boats here, but it’s easy enough to rent one for a day or longer at Dittisham Sailing School & Boat Hire, while on land the Anchorstone Café is fantastic for fresh seafood and the Ferry Boat Inn opposite does good pub grub. Afterwards wander along to The Ham and stroll up the hill to see the beautiful St George’s Church.
