If you're in Braunton and you want fish, Squires is the place to go. Fresh as a daisy, it's as if the seafood has ben thrown straight off the boat and into the kitchen. Rick Stein is a fan. So are former prime minister John Major, and Davina McCall. This well-run place is less a chippie than a restaurant that elevates the national dish to a status suiting its immaculate gallery-like dining room. Never fear, however, restaurant or not it still does a handy takeaway, which is just well since you should expect a que here.
