This Mortehoe local, complete with horsebrasses and beams, serves above-average pub fare including the likes of local grab and a cracking burger. Other pluses include real ales, real bar skittles and a quaint little beer garden. Under new(ish) management there's been tasteful refurbishment of this former 16th-century vicarage but the best is still made of the low ceilings, slanting doors and interesting local photographs that hang on the walls and tell stories from decades ago. Dogs are welcome here as are children during the day.
