Coasters Coffee Company
Abbots Quay Prince of Wales Road Kingsbridge TQ7 1DY
Coasters is a friendly, spacious coffee shop in Kingsbridge that's particularly child friendly – it's easy to get a buggy through the door, has a nice baby-changing facility and a small children's table with books, pens and paper – plus they do 'babycinnos' for little ones who want a little fix of their own. That said, come without kids and you'll still find peace and quiet. There's wireless internet access, a couple of comfy leather sofas, books to read, Brazillian lounge music in the background and even a community board. They recycle as much as possible and give their used coffee grounds to keen local gardeners. Friendly, relaxed owners Paul and Jackie serve loose leaf Suki teas, and their coffee is a Brazillian blend from Clifton Coffee, which is ethically sourced and supports the charity, Coffee Kids. When it comes to snacks, they source as much as possible from local suppliers including Burts crisps, Teoni's cookies, Luscombes drinks, and Country Kitchen Bakehouse cakes. Sandwiches and paninis are freshly made every day with a variety of fillings. The sort of place that every local high street should have.
