High Corner Inn
Linwood Ringwood Hampshire BH24 3QY
This friendly, rambling pub is tucked away down a bumpy track surrounded by forest and heathland – there are even rails to tie up your horse, in case you want to ride here for a drink (and many do). It’s dog-friendly, child-friendly and a perect spot for a pub lunch after exploring the many miles of New Forest paths. The garden is large, with a children’s playground, and inside the pub spreads over several rooms, some with open fireplaces. Food is hearty and local – the mushroom and stilton baguette with chips is a meal in itself – and there’s always a good range of local daily specials. It has a few rooms upstairs, and even stabling if you want to stay here with your horse.
