Another excellent Hall and Woodhouse pub serving wonderful local draft ales and good quality food, in a fantastic art deco building, which still retains the original fittings such as stained-glass windows and oak panelling. In addition, there are great sea views and a lovely child-friendly garden that backs onto the clifftop and leads onto the beach. The menu is varied, with dishes such as a Mediterranean mezze platter to Lobster bisque fish pie or wild boar sausages and mash, while the three-course lunch special is particularly good value. Service is friendly and there are nice touches such a bowl of apples that you can help yourself to. Upstairs are some comfortable rooms, many with sea views.
