Yarmouth
Yarmouth, Isle of Wight
Of all the island’s many small towns, Yarmouth is the one that most embraces all things Wight. With its dinky harbour, miniature Yarmouth Castle, yacht club, marina and ferry terminal it’s a bustling hive of maritime activity on an accessible scale. The varied selection of interesting shops can be walked around in under an hour and the town’s cycle hire outlets make it a good starting place for a two-wheeled tour. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could also arrange a power boat trip to the Needles: ask for Phil Keen at Gossips Café on the pier.
