The Mitre
3 West Street Blackpool FY1 1HA
It's billed as Blackpool's smallest pub – which basically means, in this town of excess, that it's a normal-sized pub for just about anywhere else. Your tradional locals' boozer, just off the prom, is worth popping into for the terrific set of old black-and-white photos from Blackpool's Golden Age. You'll also get a drinkable pint of Theakston's while sitting on what can only be described as "banquettes", and you'll probably also get some Roy Orbison or Elvis from the jukebox to go with it, with more-or-less sober singalong locals for company.
