Langtrys is located in the suburban redbrick avenues of North Shore, around a mile and a half from Blackpool Tower and all the central attractions, and thus a fair bit quieter than you might be used to in this town. Set amid a run of rather more traditional lodgings, it's an elegant B&B of the boutique kind, with half a dozen rooms sporting contemporary oak furniture and king-sized beds with deep blue headboards. You get a wet-room-style bathroom with underfloor heating, plus all the bells and whistles, from iPod docks to choccies by the bed – choose Room 1 and you can soak in the tub while watching TV too. In short, it's a bit of an oasis with a bit of class, but even so, you're only two blocks from the prom and the tram ride down to all the action.
