This tranquil glamping site has a lot going for it. Not only is it situated next to its own lake amid the beautiful countryside of Lancashire's Fylde peninsula, it's also just 15 minutes from the seaside delights of Blackpool and the rest of the nearby coast's excellent beaches. With a mixture of cute, purpose-built glamping pods and cosy bell tents, it makes an excellent choice if you're looking for both countryside and seaside glamping, with a spot of fishing thrown in too.
Stanley Villa Farm is located a few miles inland from Blackpool, not far from the M55 'road to the coast' branch off the M6, so is very easy to reach by car. The centerpiece of the site is its five-acre man-made lake, which is the home of Stanley villa carp fishery. It’s also not unusual to see wild deer as well as a selection of rabbits, squirrels, kingfishers, hawks and even owls congregating to sup from its carp-inhabited waters. It's a great place for family glamping, with lots of outdoor space for vigorous activities (around 4 football fields!) and sheep and chickens to pet and feed. There's an on-site shop and loads of attractions and things to do nearby, including two zoos, a water park and numerous other activities, from wakeboarding to pony-trekking – plus the delights of Blackpool and the coast.
The site's colourful pods – or 'bugs', as they're known – are fully insulated and equipped with comfy mattresses (though you need to bring your own bedding) and each can accommodate two adults and up to two small children. Some of the pods are heated. In case you prefer to sleep under canvas, there are Ten 5-metre bell tents, each sleeping 2 adults and up to 3 children on a double mattress and 2 single chair-beds. They have a wood-burning stove to keep things cosy, fairy lights, bedside tables, cushions and matting and outside decking. Whichever option you choose, little ones will love retiring to their den-like digs for the weekend, while the communal Lakeside Lodge has everything you need for a hassle-free stay including phone-charging, fridges, washing and kitchen facilities (kettle, toaster & microwave) and a large common room.
A terrific family glamping site in a great location, with loads to do both on-site and nearby.

Getting There
From M55, Junction 3 (Kirkham Turnoff) – turn right at the roundabout onto the A585 heading for Fleetwood.
In half a mile there is an Indian Restaurant called the Ashiana. Take the immediate next left past the speed camera turning down Greenhalgh Lane, 150 yards AFTER the Ashiana and 100 yards BEFORE a Shell Petrol Station. Go down Greenhalgh Lane until you reach a ‘T’-Junction (approximately 1 mile). Turn right and take the second left into the site entrance.
Most guests choose to arrive by car as the site's fairly rural. However 'Kirkham & Wesham' Train Station is only a 10 min taxi ride away.Features
