West Highland Way
G83 8RZ
Scotland’s first official long-distance route, and in a way one of its most easy to reach, the 96-mile-long West Highland Way is still Scotland's – and one of the UK's – most popular hikes. It runs from just outside Glasgow right up to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, and takes you through some of the country's most stunning mountain scenery. It's quite a challenging route but you're rewarded with any number of iconic Scottish attractions, from the banks of Loch Lomond to the stark grandeur of Glen Coe and the majestic heights of Ben Nevis at the end.
