This is a delightful family farm and campsite, situated just a few miles outside Llandrindod Wells in the midst of the green rolling hills of Powys. They have several holiday cottages, but for those who prefer to be a bit closer to nature they have a selection of yurts for a spot of luxurious glamping. Each yurt is cosily decorated with cushions, rugs and lanterns and has room for 4 people, comfortably accommodated in a double bed and 2 pull-out futons, and rate include all bedding, a log-burner with a stock of wood, seating area, barbecue and your own firepit. You also get your own kitchen with a two-ring burner and barbecue, crockery and cooking utensils and an eco-toilet. The farm is equipped with an underfloor-heated shower block, two family showers and an on-site shop selling local produce and perhaps best of all you have access to hundreds of acres of farmland including two lakes for fishing, swimming and paddling, with a small beach and a jetty with kayaks if you want to get out on the water.

Getting There

If you’re heading from the M5, take the A44 then A481 towards Builth Wells. Fforest Fields is signposted and is on the left, just under a mile from the village of Hundred House. From the M4, take the A40 then A470 to Builth Wells, pass through the town, then at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A481, Fforest Fields is a few miles down the road on the right and is signposted.

Amazing!

This is real 'Famous Five' territory; an absolutely fabulous site which is small enough to care but big enough to pack a load of family activities suitable for all ages. We loved the honesty shop which stocked the best bacon we've tasted in a while. The owners are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Our three children loved the freedom, the canoeing, netting in the streams, the Thai takeaway on Friday night and the wood fired pizza oven (twice!). After only a week on this site we all feel totally relaxed and will definitely be back. Thank you Fforest Fields xx
