An 'upside-down' property, with the living space on the upper floor and the bedrooms down below, The Old Barn has two double bedrooms and a single room that can be converted to a double with a guest bed. Above here, there's a lovely open-plan, oak beamed living space with a spacious kitchen-dining area which has a superb electric range cooker, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and a dining table with space for 6 people. On the other side of the space, squashy sofas and comfy chairs gather around a large fireplace with a wood-burning stove, while downstairs there's a large and secluded garden with an alfresco dining and barbecue area.
The Old Barn is a beautiful place to stay by any standards, renovated to a high spec and and very convenient, and with lots of country walks on your doorstep. It's also a terrific base for exploring the Peak District National Park and just a ten-minute drive from the theme park at Alton Towers, making it a perfect choice for young families. You could go fishing or walking in in the Dove Valley, walk the nearby Weaver Hills, or visit the pleasant, antique-filed market town of Ashbourne just a short drive away.
