Set amongst the rolling greenery and heather moorlands of the eastern Yorkshire Dales, Little Seed Field fits its surroundings like a glove, offering wild glamping in a peaceful corner of a working dairy farm. They have seven snug cabins, nestled amongst boulders, rushes and trees, in an unspoiled landscape owners Joanne and Sean have worked hard to retain; indeed their aim to ensure that  'wild deer, birds of prey and natural flora are disturbed as little as possible' will strike joy into the heart of the eco-conscious glamper.

Inside, the octagonal and individually decorated cabins are surprisingly roomy, featuring beds, mattresses and a small selection of cutlery and crockery. They also have lighting, electrical points and a log stove so you can keep nice and toasty on those chilly Yorkshire evenings. The basic but well-maintained – and heated – amenities building houses wet rooms and a small kitchenette with a kettle and toaster; and you can also source water from the farm's spring or gather wood for your campfire.

We should say that the mobile signal is poor – though that may be why you came in the first place! – but the location is properly rural and remote, with lots of great walks nearby, including along the fabulous Nidderdale Way. After a hard day's exploring the beautiful countryside that surrounds little Seed Field, it doesn't come much better than getting back to your cabin and watching the sunset over the valley below.

Facilities

We have five octagonal cabins, two of which have ensuite facilities (Meadowsweet and Bird Cherry).  The remaining three cabins (Yorkshire Fog, Foxtail and Woodland Clearing) share an amenity building containing two wet rooms.  Each cabin has a low level of power and fairy lights for lighting.  They each have a private BBQ/fire pit and a log burning stove.  Our ensuite cabins include an electric radiator in the shower room.
Our wild, rural site is situated within 5 acres of land.  We have wild woodland, a beautiful new pond area and a covered outside communal area/classroom.
There is a small, shared kitchenette on site which includes a microwave, kettle, toaster and two small fridges as well as a washing up area.

Suitable For

Glampers, couples, families, small groups and dogs (with prior notice) – yes. Campervans and caravans – no.
