The Coronation Tap
8 Sion Place, Clifton, Bristol BS8 4AX
Tucked away in the backstreets of Clifton, the ‘Cori Tap’ is a legend. As Bristol’s oldest cider joint, it has a special place in the city’s heart and you can expect to find anyone from students in togas to locals with dogs under the table, and an array of live music too. The cider brewed here is to be handled with care, however – indeed, in the case of its famous Exhibition blend, it’s so strong that they will only serve it to you in a plastic half-pint glass. The joint has even coined a new verb: ‘to be corried’, meaning exactly what you think it does.
