Papadeli
84 Alma Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2DJ
This small local deli off Whiteladies Road is the toast of Bristol, serving up lush salads and takeaway boxes in its pretty shop where the shelves are piled high with shining treats and tins from around the world. There’s also a branch at the Royal West of England Academy at the top of Park Street, a convenient lunchspot with a fantastic balcony for people-watching. Of the two locations, the RWA branch is the best for cakes; the Alma Road branch also has a larger café and a cookery school above it. The food here is delicious – you’d be mad to eat anywhere else in the area, with the exception of Lido Bristol.
