Fowey Aquarium
Town Quay Fowey PL23 1AT
Situated underneath the Town Hall on the Town Quay, this small aquarium is worth a visit for a close-up view of some of the local sealife. It’s been running since the 1950s and has an ever-changing selection of exhibits – you might see spiny lobster, cuttlefish, bass, bream, octopus and blue lobster. There’s also a touch pool where children can pick up the crabs for a closer look. The stock comes from local fishermen and, once they’ve been in the tanks for a while, specimens are returned to the sea and replaced with something new. This makes it ever changing, slightly rustic and a genuine Fowey attraction.
