Housed in a beautiful Georgian merchant’s house, the Fowey River Gallery has a lovely, light and uncluttered exhibition space on the first floor, with a shop selling artwork, gifts, jewellery, ceramics and leather goods downstairs. The gallery houses a constantly changing series of artworks, mainly figurative, and often by local artists. The main exhibitions change every few weeks, but owner Kevin Marchant claims that, ‘something in the gallery changes almost daily’, so there’s always something new to see. Whether you want to browse or buy, it’s definitely worth popping in for a look.
