Polkerris Beach

Polkerris Beach, Fowey

Just a couple of miles west of Fowey, this is one of the nicest beaches in the area, although it can get quite crowded in high summer. It’s lovely and sandy, so perfect for kids, and the curved breakwater provides shelter making it safe for swimming and a popular place for launching small boats. There are plenty of facilities, including the excellent Sam’s on the Beach, the Rashleigh Inn, and a good shop stocking everything you need for a day at the seaside, as well as the Polkerris Beach Company who hire watersports equipment for a more active day on the water.
