Rheged is a gallery, café, cinema, shopping venue, workplace and creative space on the edge of the Northern Lakes. The relaxed, light-flooded 100-seat café is open all day and showcases regional produce including organic wines, great bread and locally roasted speciality coffee. The children’s menu includes freshly made pizzas – perfect for enjoying before or after catching a film at the in-house cinema. The modern, independent gallery hosts four exhibitions per year, bringing together established and emerging artists in curated and touring exhibitions including an annual Print exhibition. There's also a programme of creative classes lead by professional artists and makers, suitable both for beginners and those wishing to develop their skills. Finally, there's a range of shopping opportunities with a focus on niche British makers and ethical brands.
