In a lovely country house in the middle of the New Forest, this fabulous restaurant uses ingredients grown its own gardens, foraged from the surrounding forest or bought from local suppliers – the haddock and salmon are smoked on site, eggs come from its own chickens, and seasonal herbs are veg are grown in the kitchen garden. The restaurant itself is in a light and airy conservatory and produces delicious dishes, such as roast loin of New Forest venison and the wonderful “piggy bits”, a selection of pork-based nibbles, In summer, you can eat outside in the pretty garden, where flat breads and pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired.
