Burley Park has a spacious deer park where a large herd of red deer roam freely. Departing from next to the Queen's Head pub in Burley, the half-hour long New Forest Safaris are a fun way to get right up to these beautiful creatures. Hop onto a trailer and a tractor takes you across a bumpy field right up to the deer, who know that a visit usually means feeding time – so they come right up to say hello. A real treat for kids especially.
