These high-speed RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) offer a thrilling, high-speed way to see the coast. Take the trip to the Needles, which reaches the cliffs of the Isle of Wight’s east coast in around 30 minutes, takes in the caves and colourful sands around Alum Bay, and passes right under the Needles Lighthouse and the south coast’s towering cliffs. On the return, the captain often shows off the RIB’s versatility with the boat equivalent of a handbrake turn.
