In the heart of rolling Isle of Wight countryside on a working farm, Bluebells makes a great stop over. There's farm-fresh local food: from good value cooked breakfasts to light lunches. Best of all are the evening meals (Fridays and Saturdays only): we loved the watercress and potato soup and seabream fillets, while the meat – from the chicken breasts to the t-bone steaks - are fantastically tender. There's also live music some nights, and a farm shop to stock up on more local produce. And don't forget to leave time to look round the farm: in spring, the barns are filled with the cutest calves.
