Enjoy a getaway on the water by chartering a cruise on this impressively sleek yacht, Magic Time. She’s a supremely comfortable 47-foot Hanse 470 with a furling jib, but if that means nothing to you, don’t worry; your adventures on Magic Time are in the capable hands of experienced seafarers Caroline and Ben. They’ll design your day, weekend or even your week aboard to suit where you want to go and what you want to do. Magic Time is berthed on the South Coast, so sailing The Solent and cruising around the Isle of Wight are the options for a day or two. If you want to test your sea legs for longer, the turquoise waters of the Channel Islands are a tempting possibility.
On board, there are three cabins, divided fore and aft. Magic Time sleeps up to six but with a crew of two, that means up to four guests can be accommodated. It’s a great way to spend time with friends, and perfect for a family with older kids looking for aquatic adventure. But Magic Time and sunsets over the sea also make a fantastic backdrop to a romantic getaway or even a solo well-being trip.
Whoever you come with, the above-deck experience of wind and salt-water spray will make for memorable days, while below-deck offers a rather charmed take on life at sea. With two-metre headroom in the saloon and plenty of windows throughout, it’s more light and spacious than you might expect. The master cabin has an en-suite shower and toilet; the second cabin is also a double, while the crew share a third. The teak deck and clean white lines of the yacht are echoed in the interior design. Crisp white sheets in the cabins and the L-shaped leather sofa are warmed by rust-brown cushions, throws and mahogany furniture that’s as polished as the stainless steel fittings.
When the weather is fine, you’ll probably be on deck as much as possible, but on cooler evenings, the saloon offers a sound system and a projector for movie evenings on board. You may choose to spend a night at anchor in lovely Lulworth Cove or on the beautiful Beaulieu River, with your meals prepared by Caroline and Ben, or you might prefer to moor up at a marina and enjoy a meal at a local pub. The experience here is bespoke – tailored to your tastes as far as tide and weather allows. It's a Magic Time indeed.
