There's a choice of eight, super-stylish self-catering apartments at Shanklin Villa, just on the edge of historic Shanklin Old Village, which make a great base for a luxury Isle of Wight stay whatever your party size or requirements. Four of them are luxurious three- or four-bed apartments with sea views and en-suites, hot tubs, and private patios or roof terraces. The other four are bijou one-beds and studios for couples – two of these have sea views (Cadogan and Beatrice), while one is ground-floor accessible. You don't want to miss out on the hot tub though – the four smaller apartments have access to a communal garden, where there's a tub to share.

All the apartments are beautifully appointed – think hardwood floors, leather sofas, high-spec kitchens, Smart TVs, and plenty of room in the larger apartments for communal dining with rooftop and ocean views. The Mountbatten garden apartment is the largest, but it's perhaps the Eversley that makes the biggest splash, with its private roof terrace and six-person tub. Everything you need for your stay is included – you really only need to bring beach towels.

The location is handy for old town strolls, beach walks and clifftop rambles, but maybe the best thing about the villa apartments is their link to the nearby hotels of Luccombe Hall and Luccombe Manor, all under the same family ownership. This means you have free access to the hotels' facilities, namely heated indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, play areas and games rooms, not to mention the rather lovely restaurant and gardens at Luccombe Hall. You can have breakfast at Luccombe Hall too, if you like.

Simply lovely

We stayed in the Worsley Apartment for a week and it was simply lovely. There was a large sitting room, beautifully clean shower room with an amazing power shower, a large fully-fitted kitchen and the bedroom upstairs. The place was immaculate and had every possible convenience - including a washer dryer and dishwasher. Only a very short walk into Shanklin Old Town or the beach. The Team who manage the apartments couldn't have been more helpful either. We definitely want to stay again!

High Class Apartments

We stayed at Shanklin Villa (Mountbatten Suite) some 10/11 years back just after its conversion from a hotel to apartments. Naturally after this long, you would have expected to see lots of wear and tear in those passing years. How wrong was I? Shanklin Villa is as good now as it was when converted. The beauty of staying here is that you can use the facilities at its sister properties, Luccombe Hall and Luccombe Manor some 10-minute stroll from the Villa or 3 mins in the car.

Short week Break in IOW

We stayed in the Worsley apartment. It was just how our pre-email had described, so easy to arrive. Excellent accommodation, lovely and clean, with everything you need to use and ideal for what we wanted. Great base to explore the island and so close to the beach for walks.

Wonderful break

We had another fabulous time. Villa is situated within easy access of beach and shops . Lovely walks to Sandown along seafront. Accommodation excellent as always and staff 1st Class! Looking forward to returning. Thank You.
