The seasonal, locally sourced menu at JoJo’s is best described as Mediterranean tapas, with a distinctly Greek and Spanish influence – or in their own phrase, ‘meze, meat and fish’. Set in breezy premises above the beach in Tankerton, JoJo’s offers full-on fabulous flavours in superb cured meats, patatas bravas, wonderful seared local lamb and fine, simple fish such as pan-fried mackerel. By day, the coffee shop, for which you don't need to book, serves tea and coffee along with home-made cakes, sandwiches and salads. It’s licensed, but you can bring your own bottle (£3 corkage, £5 for sparkling wine or champagne, £6 if bought from Tesco). Reservations recommended for the restaurant, especially in the evening. No credit cards.
