Situated on Canterbury High Street, The ABode occupies the former County Hotel, and at times, despite the designer touches, marble bathrooms and chic atmosphere, the creaky floorboards and (a few) poky rooms give away its past. Nonetheless, this is the fanciest boutique hotel in Canterbury – there is fine dining in The County Restaurant, contemporary pub food in The Old Brewery Tavern, as well as the Champagne Bar. The place is popular with business clients and the facilities reflect this, there is a gym and a meeting room. All of the bedrooms are individually designed, and a luxurious bed and contemporary ensuite bathroom come as standard. Parking can be a problem in Canterbury, but there is parking nearby for £10 daily.
