Masters of invention, the volunteers who constructed this four-mile-long stretch of railroad from Wells to Little Walsingham borrowed a redundant signal box and persuaded others to part with a stack of railway sleepers. The result is the narrow-gauge steam railway of today – which is good fun in anyone’s book.
