Antique furniture, divine jewellry, retro clothing and a few bits of junk thrown in for good measure – this warehouse is home to a whole host of bargains. Located slightly out of the centre of the town (around a ten-minute walk down New Street), Station Mill Antiques is home to both quality buys and tit-tat. First impressions may be charmless but once inside you’ll find a host of fascinating second-hand items – Georgian crystal glasses, dated kitchen accessories and glorious furniture are shoulder-to-shoulder alongside Victorian jewels and (if you’re lucky) Roman coins. Upstairs are more modern additions, home to ‘shabby-chic’ restored furniture and retro clothing dating back to the 1960s. The staff are friendly, can offer advice on various pieces and are good fun to haggle with. There’s a small tea shop on site if you need an energy boost.
