Jamie’s Italian
35 Park Row, Leeds LS1 5JL
Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurants might have been rolled out all over the UK, but the Leeds branch has to be the best-looking, housed in the dramatic spaces of a former bank, complete with wonderful carved wooden ceiling, cool bar, open kitchen and lots of atmospheric, low-lit dining space. The portions aren’t enormous, but the food is authentic and reliable, from prawn linguine or a mixed fried fish to more bistro-like dishes, such as burgers, risotto, steaks and the like.
