The best Chinese food in town is a bit of a trek – a 15-minute walk from the city centre, out in the boonies, past car yards and furniture showrooms – but it’s worth it. Keep going until you see the big, bright Chinese cash-and-carry supermarket; the restaurant is around the corner and above the shop, a grand Hong-Kong-style affair with a massive menu. Chinese locals and families eat here (Sunday is the big day out), so the food’s authentic, and dim sum is served daily up to 5.30pm, though the cheap (but less adventurous) business lunch deals bring in many punters.
