The Chainlocker & Shipwrights
Quay Hill Falmouth TR11 3HG
An olde-worlde pub nudging the waterside, the Chainlocker opened its doors in 1660, making it the second oldest pub in Falmouth. Often crammed to the (low) rafters with sailors, fishermen and students, it’s a welcoming place serving plenty of local real ales and home-cooked food. There’s also an outside seating area by the quayside. There's a friendly atmosphere and dogs are more than welcome. With bags of character this is a place that feels part and part of the town. A sea-front institution that, though ancient, never seems to tire.
