The Star & Garter
52 High Street Falmouth TR11 2AF
One of Falmouth's oldest pubs, The Star & Garter sits on Falmouth's Old High Street overlooking the harbour. Built around the year 1800 it was the site of a wine & spirit merchant, importing and exporting from the harbour, before becoming a public house in the 1870s. A traditional boozer, here you can sip real ales, watch the watery world go by and tuck into reasonably-priced pub grub (doorstep sandwiches, pie and mash, liver and bacon…) .Thursday is the main music night, with a line-up ranging from rock and reggae to folk bands, but there's usually some sort of evening entertainment including jazz on Mondays, darts on Tuesday, cards on Wednesday and the Blues on Sunday.
