And the Fal River Festival is a 10-day celebration of the places, people, sports and culture connected by this stunning stretch of water. Events are lined up thick and fast, with highlights including the castle to castle swim (Pendennis to St Mawes), the Beer Fleet sail down the river, a floating cinema, live music in Events Square and the Fal Fish Festival.
