We love the Fur & Feather. Not only is it a thoroughly nice boozer, that's been here for donkey's years, it's in a lovely spot – Woodbastwicke is one of the area's most picturesque villages and you're only a short walk from Salhouse Broad. It also serves the widest choice of Woodforde's ales on draft that you'll find – no great surprise since it's situated next door to the brewery – and tops this off with a regularly changing menu of decent pub food: nothing fancy, but like the beer they make next door, wholesome, honest and largely put together using local ingredients. Not great for veggies – lots of steaks, burgers and pies – but it does do fish. Try to eat in the main part of the pub: unless it's really crowded, the restaurant can be a bit soulless.
