A decade or so ago Ian and Hannah Deane decided to get out of dairy farming and turn some of their buildings into B&B accommodation, and they have now been running it since 2005. It seems like a great decision, and not only because of the price of milk, but because their six lovely B&B rooms and 3 suites, plus two self-catering cottages, offer a wonderfully tranquil place to stay between Hickling village and the sea, on what remains a working farm, producing winter wheat and vegetables. Breakfasts are excellent and locally sourced, and served under the beams of their beautiful converted barn, they have a couple of self–catering cottages too; and they also offer flower design day events and residential courses.
