Anchor Inn
The Street Morston Norfolk NR25 7AA
Morston is a bit of a foodie place. Not only is it known for the excellent produce of its mussel beds, but in Morston Hall it has one of the region's few Michelin-starred restaurants. Plus there's the Anchor Inn, which was taken over a couple of years ago by a couple of locals and is now is one of the best places hereabouts for good, locally sourced food and local ales – mussels, scallops, oysters, Holkham venison, rare breed pork and saltmarsh lamb, simply cooked and beautifully presented. They keep things nice and simple too – there's never too much on the menu, and not for nothing was the Anchor voted the readers' fave place in the Eastern Daily Press a couple of years back. Drop by for one of their 'curry nights'.
