Self-proclaimed ‘Purveyors of Fine Fodder’, this charming deli backs onto the Merchant Adventurers Hall – you can take your newly acquired salamis, cheeses and pies out to the blossom-strewn lawn for a picnic. It's laid out apothecary style inside – all very traditional and entirely York-like – and there’s an adorable café, too, which small but definitely worth the squeeze for the tasty cream teas, quiches, buns and cakes.
