The York Dungeon attracts droves of tourists all year round for a goodly bit of screaming and yelling. It's an actor-led attraction, which in its own special way tells the tales of murderous Vikings, notorious Yorkshire highwayman Dick Turpin and another local boy gone bad, Guy Fawkes. York’s witches also met a rather unfortunate end, and you'll be confronted with all sorts of general mayhem and unpleasantness during a 70-minute dungeon tour that takes in eleven interactive theatrical gore-fest shows.
