You can’t book a table here unless you’re a large party, so expect to queue for your unpretentious Jamie-style grub here. You will be squeezed in at the bar to await your spag bol or polenta chips, though. Once you’ve made it through – usually not a long wait – you’re in a buzzing, vibrantly informal place with super-friendly staff, ample portions and good food. The kids’ menu is on a hand-held slide projector – no words – and it can be hard to work out what the pictures are. But it tastes good nonetheless.
