Housed in a historic manor house, this is the only museum of Americana outside the United States and houses the most significant collection of American folk art in Europe. Make a beeline for the basement, where the American Heritage Exhibition explores the key cultural and historical factors that shaped the country’s early identity through a number of imaginative interactive displays. There’s a pleasant café or you can picnic in the expansive grounds, with great views over the Avon Valley.
