In just over a decade the brothers behind Innis & Gunn have gone from being surprised at just how good the brew that came from their experiments with beer matured in a whisky cask actually was, to running a massively successful range of beers, whose fame has not only spread beyond their native Edinburgh, but across the rest of the UK, Europe and even over the Atlantic. These days they have a whole volley of beers (mainly ales, but one lager too) to back up the tirelessly popular 'Original', and you can try many of them at their flash headquarters in Edinburgh's West End. They open this grand multi-level building to the public for all manner of special ticketed events. Groups and corporate bodies can also stage their own functions here too. The highlight for many visitors is the gorgeous wood bar stocked, of course, with an impressive selection of Innis & Gunn's finest.
