Although part of the national chain, this Loch Fyne restaurant has the distinction of being the only one – apart from the original Oyster Bar that's located in Scotland. Like its sister restaurants, it offers comfortable middle-market seafood dining with a particular emphasis on the provenance of the fish it serves. However, the most compelling aspect here is its location in part of the building that still houses Edinburgh's fish market, right by the old stone harbour at Newhaven – with views over the Firth of Forth to Fife and even the distant Forth Bridges.
