Edinburgh Farmers' Market
Castle Terrace Edinburgh
In existence now for over 10 years, Edinburgh's Farmers' Market is one of the largest regular markets of its type in Scotland. Located on a tree-lined pavement with Castle Rock rearing up behind, between 30 and 40 stalls can be found each Saturday morning, with a porridge bar and whole hog roast available for on-site hot snacks. It's almost exclusively food, and nearly all farmers or producers come from within a 50-mile radius of Edinburgh, including (in the appropriate season) tomato growers, venison farmers, fishermen from the Clyde, soft fruit growers, local organic farmers and even a mozzarella maker based in the north of the city.
