Stockbridge
Stockbridge Edinburgh
Located just to the north of the New Town, clustered around a crossing over the Water of Leith, Stockbridge is often described as an urban village. Interspersed among work-a-day charity shops and grocery stores on Raeburn Place is an eclectic bunch of independent shops including some excellent food shops, local jewellers, art suppliers and wine shops. Lying just south of the Water of Leith, St Stephen Street is an enclave of quirky antique shops, art galleries and bars, many of them tucked into odd spaces and semi-subterranean hideaways.
