The acid-green front door hints at the décor of this B&B in a Georgian terrace house, which goes for a splash of modern romance that visitors don’t dare at home, explains chatty owner Lois Faulkner. The first-floor rooms have four-posters and hip toile wallpapers – and the one at the front has a large bay window from which you can gaze at the cathedral spire opposite – while the smaller rooms above are in modern country style. All four are en-suite with tvs, radios, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The 18th century house is in a central location with salisbury's attractions all within walking distance.
