Seven Sisters Country Park
Cuckmere Haven
The Seven Sisters is perhaps the most famous stretch of coast within the South Downs National Park, an area of high chalk cliffs that drops sheer into the sea between Seaford and Eastbourne. It's nowadays designated as a country park and is a fantastic location for walking, birdwatching, cycling and much more, ideally starting at the visitor centre at Cuckmere Haven, where you can park. There's an easy access trail that heads off down to the beach at the mouth of the Cuckmere river, but with a bit more energy and time to spare you can follow the South Downs Way all the way to Eastbourne at the other end of the Seven Sisters – a glorious walk of around 10 miles.
